7. You open the door to find what looks like a storage room, with marionettes hanging on the walls that look like yourself and the other guests of the Starlight Hotel. The strings belonging to any guests who are dead have been cut, and the expressions on their painted faces are grotesque and in pain. The marionettes of the living stare eerily at you with glassy, lifeless eyes, as if they're waiting for someone to pick them up and make them move. If you try to touch any of the marionettes of the living, you will hear a voice hiss "M̶̦͕̰̼͊̆i̴̱͒̌͜N̵̘̎̏̔e̸̛̟͆͝ͅ". You will then suddenly find yourself back in the hall, disoriented and feeling like you've just been slapped on the wrist. Only four minutes have passed.
So Molly and Joonghyuk can see... All of these puppets as a start. Joonghyuk stares at Molly for a while because.
[ Molly looks down at the wolf and gives a shrug, like he's got no idea either. He did not bring Frumpkin with him, because Frumpkin is much too smart to enter all these terrifying rooms himself.
After a second though, he gets bored of standing in one place and starts to pick his way through as well, giving a glance back at all the eyes seeming to watch him, skin starting to crawl. ]
I'm not planning on it! Not my first carnival, trust me.
[ This is his. Niah tilts his head at Molly, but then sniffs the marionettes. It rattles again, but deeper into the room. Joonghyuk slows down as he hears
[ yeah! sometimes you wear a really low cut shirt for like a reason. supposedly. it's sort of a dumb reason but it's still a reason. ]
Sorry to disappoint. Maybe next time?
[ and then he'll reach out and try and pick the doll up - which causes all of its eyes to roll around as it hisses out the MINE and Molly, does, in fact, yell. ]
[ INSTANTLY, HE COVERS MOLLY'S MOUTH, but it's too late. The touch has aggravated the evil voice. The distorted MINE echoes in this room and he looks around, trying to figure out the source, but every direction is met with glassy eyes...
They're still looking at them.
But they're out! And he still has his hand tightly over Molly's mouth. ]
[ Sorry, but a hand over his mouth isn't going to stop him from attempting to talk. Looking up at him, and then - partially mumbled because of, you know, the hand:]
5. You open the door and find yourself seated in a chair, your arms bound behind you. You feel someone's presence behind you, though you can't see them - they are also seated in a chair. You can speak, but you cannot recognize the voice of the other person, even if it is someone you would normally know just by hearing them. You must play a game of twenty questions to guess who they are. Once you have correctly identified each other, you will find yourselves back in the hallway, perfectly fine; however, if you hit twenty questions without both of you correctly guessing the other's identity, you will both feel a sharp pain in your neck, as if something has been injected into you. You will then find ourselves back in the hallway, disoriented and as though you've been sedated for the next thirty minutes, and you will have a puncture wound that matches a syringe and needle in your neck. Only four minutes have passed.
[ We are at the cemetery! Just looking at these graves with arms crossed, but the weekly effect simulates letters on his figure. They're multiple lines of different strokes and orientations, possibly separated phonetics on paper white. They ascend as if someone is scrolling on a tablet, reading.
At least Niah notices Molly and comes over to greet. ]
[ he blinks a bit at that effect, and then looks away. He's back in clothes that cover a lot more of his body - the eyes don't make much of an appearance on his face, which is about the only thing you can see. But he shakes off the look after a moment. ]
My friend - we hadn't seen each other in a long time - turned out she was there too, at the Station. I guess I'm being coy for no reason, we hadn't seen each other because I'd been dead, and she hadn't, so I suppose she was a little shocked to see me up and about. So that was nice, actually, seeing her again. Finding out what happened to everyone else in the crew, catching up.
Then the first trial we had, she had the misfortune of punching a wall the night before and everyone thought surely that was decisive evidence. They were wrong, of course. It'd been a robot that had been bragging about wanting to kill people since the minute he arrived, but no one wanted to see that until later.
Homocidal robot! It openly bragged about how many people it had killed! It meant it and we were all so hesitant to judge! First impressions can most definitely be right, you know. Guess that's the lesson - listen when someone tells you who they are, or something.
They chose your friend for punching a wall over a homicidal robot, that was openly homicidal. [ He really is trying to wrap his head around it. ] Our first week was not a failure, but it could have easily gone south. A loud, annoying, and unapproachable cannibal was trying to frame a young girl.
… In my world, it isn’t uncommon for the weak to cannibalize. It grants them power, but changes them into monsters. Still—it’s strange to have multiple accounts in these games where people don’t need to eat others.
[ He thinks there’s something wrong in the universe. ]
That was in the past. Most of them have died or have been killed.
[ It's okay. ]
... She seems to be getting into a lot of trouble, but all of us are. [ ... ] If we bring back the dead by the time we check out, they and their hostages would be saved.
W0 : MONDAY.
He recognizes him, but. ]
Your murder prison didn't have puppets, did it?

Can't say that it was a recurring theme. Not sure I'm particularly a fan.

[ Joonghyuk moves forward, while Niah stays with Molly. Wolf looks up to him and gives a whine.
The eyes seem to follow, and yet they also seem to stay on Molly. Evil doll things. ]
If you notice anything off, say something. Don’t yell.

After a second though, he gets bored of standing in one place and starts to pick his way through as well, giving a glance back at all the eyes seeming to watch him, skin starting to crawl. ]
I'm not planning on it! Not my first carnival, trust me.
[ he's still like. Talking loudly. ]
no subject
You're still loud.
[ God Help Him. But as he says it, the marionettes seem to rattle? Like windchimes in the shape that no one wanted or asked for. ]
no subject
Terribly picky, isn't he? I'm Mollymauk, by the way. Wonderful to meet you. Got a great coat on ya'.
[ He looks over though when the marionettes rattle, startling a bit and reaching to his waist like he expects there be something to grab there. ]
Right! Definitely not creepy at all. You know, I'm actually supposedly very good at dealing with ghosts. With my blood? It's a thing.

[ This is his. Niah tilts his head at Molly, but then sniffs the marionettes. It rattles again, but deeper into the room. Joonghyuk slows down as he hears
MAGIC? ]
What is your blood supposed to do?
no subject
[ Hm. Wandering over closer to the rattling, apparently trying to be very nonchalant. ]
All sorts of stuff. Ice. Glowing. Gives you headaches.
no subject
[ Niah is also his. He follows with a hand on the hilt of his sword. ]
Then if I cut you, you'll give the hypothetical ghosts a headache.
[ is that it ]
no subject
Pretty sure it's not working at this moment, so I wouldn't try it.
[ hm. spotting a doll with a pair of horns, and starting to reach for it ... ]
no subject
Disappointing.
[ He would have liked to see it, but he doesn't stop Molly from reaching for that doll. Curious himself, he peers at it.
Is this
a Molly doll? WHO ELSE HAS HORNS IN HERE ]
no subject
Sorry to disappoint. Maybe next time?
[ and then he'll reach out and try and pick the doll up - which causes all of its eyes to roll around as it hisses out the MINE and Molly, does, in fact, yell. ]
no subject
They're still looking at them.
But they're out! And he still has his hand tightly over Molly's mouth. ]
no subject
In my defense, it was creepy as all fuck.
no subject
I was prepared for the marionettes to kill us because of your yelling. [ ... ] But we got a strange voice.
You heard it?
W1 : MONDAY
I am going to destroy this hotel.
no subject
I hate these fucking doors! Alright, alright. Calm down, we can-- This can't be that hard. There's only so many of us. Yes or no questions, right?
Are you a guy?

Was your last experience in a school?
[ SEASONS MOLLY??? ]

Was your last round in a camp?

W2 : SUNDAY
At least Niah notices Molly and comes over to greet. ]

We, um. Fucked up. The first trial we had.

Are you speaking of your round?

[ Looking at the gravestones, carefully. ]

[ It isn't biting or hostile, more that he understands privacy and the comfort it gives. Molly can keep whatever he wants to himself, if he wants.
He...
Frowns? As Molly continues. ]
A homicidal robot.
no subject
Got to tell a true story occasionally, don't I?
[ But, yeah. Half-grinning. ]
Homocidal robot! It openly bragged about how many people it had killed! It meant it and we were all so hesitant to judge! First impressions can most definitely be right, you know. Guess that's the lesson - listen when someone tells you who they are, or something.

[ ... ]
Did you bring your friend back?
no subject
[ Distracted by vore briefly. ]
Yeah. Though, of course ... [ he waggles a hand around like gesturing to all of this. ] Back at it again?
no subject
[ He thinks there’s something wrong in the universe. ]
You believe there will be opportunity?
no subject
[ That's what he has to say about cannibals, apparently! ]
Erm. I mean she's my hostage and all, so, I'm here again. Trying to save her ass.

[ It's okay. ]

[ Nodding slightly ]
S'what the contract says, yeah. Everyone in the lobby at check out time. Awfully specific wording, right?
no subject
It is, though they added a disclaimer to "alive." If we were to bring the dead back, they must be the same general condition as their arrival.
How did the dead become undead for the space station?
W5 : MONDAY
Niah, the wolf daemon, looks sad in comparison. ]
no subject
Losing that badly?
no subject
No.
[ He is losing, though. It is obvious and it is paining him. ]
no subject
[ Trying to peek at his cards now. ]
So you're this upset about winning?
no subject
I can't tell if I'm winning or losing.
