Some people aren't strong in that sort of way. Doesn't mean they should die.
Adapt or die are just words thrown around by people too scared to try and do a system and do it right. Absolves them of guilt if someone dies and they can just say "well maybe you should've been stronger, tried harder, been better".
I'm thinking of a world where people actually look at human decency and use their power when people aren't upholding it. Not throwing their weight around for their own sake, or the sake of other people with too much power or money.
