It happened, like a god decided to make their favorite story real, but there is nothing to disprove that stories you read could be real worlds in the universe.

We were given different memories and were recruited to do steal something from a prison.

... Like one person's fiction is another person's reality? Like what you said about deaths in your world being for the entertainment of others.

Yes. Like you could very well be a "character" from someone's favorite story... Anyone can. But does that matter? You are still you. And your life is still yours. [ An example: ] Herlock Sholmes started out as fiction in my world.

[ laugh track. Anyway, he nods at that. Made to believe to be completely different person. ]

Our employer said it as an item that enhanced powers and abilities, making someone stronger. [ However: ] The "item" was actually an angel.

This angel wasn't dusty. They looked more human, but their wings were clipped and broken. They were practically a prisoner.

I floated this idea once before, but this has got me thinking maybe I'm onto something. Are the angels that are persuading people to kill, and the ones causing the calamities imposters?

[malewife]

It's a possibility. We do not know much about these Angels of Dust that the Watchers are working under.

At most, we know that not all of them are spirits born from Dust; some are human that ascend, but something makes me wonder. [ Some more: ] Kijima Akira found a note earlier that I shared at the town hall. It was the one about how fewer angels could return home, so I wonder if my trip met with an angel that tried.

[ And an addendum. ]

There was a note that we received at the end of our trip. I don't have it on me, but I can paraphrase. "Dust" is evidence of the original sin. It seemed like whoever wrote the note believed that eradicating "Dust" could revert things back, if it's possible.

... More so that Dust might be one of the results of this sin.
